History
In 1972, this tournament was a part of Grand Prix Circuits. It only became a regular part of the ATP schedule in 1981. In 2008, it was dicontinued in Adelaide and merged with the women’s tournament, becoming a new event called the Brisbane International.
Then in 2020, it returned to Adelaide after the ATP Cup started on Perth, Brisbane, and Sydney courts. It was later launched as Adelaide International, with Simona Halep as the first player to play in this new event.
Location
Adelaide International has been taking place at the tennis hard courts [1] of Memorial Drive Tennis Center since 2020. But in 2021, the tournament took place in Melbourne, Australia, due to the pandemic. This year, it moved back to Adelaide, South Australia.

This year’s prize money in Adelaide International differs depending on the tournament– ATP and WTA.
For the ATP Tours, the prize money for the Adelaide 1 is US$416,800 and US$430,530 for Adelaide 2.
